Server Management

Learn how to effectively manage your servers on the Statsly platform, from basic configuration to advanced features.

Server management in Statsly allows you to:

  • Connect and disconnect servers
  • Configure server settings
  • View and analyze statistics
  • Manage public visibility
  • Transfer server ownership
  • Multiple server support
  • Public/private visibility
  • Server transfer
  • Statistics tracking
  • Custom display settings
  1. Navigate to Servers in your dashboard
  2. Click Add Server or Generate Code
  3. Copy the generated code
  4. Use this code in your plugin configuration

After installing the plugin and configuring it with your setup code:

  1. Restart your server
  2. Check the console for connection confirmation
  3. Your server should appear in the dashboard within a few seconds
  • Server Name: Display name for your server (must be unique)
  • Server Domain: Optional custom domain/subdomain to display instead of IP address (e.g., “mc.example.com”) - display only
  • IP Address: Server IP and port
  • Description: Public description (only available for servers with peak player count ≥ 150 or featured servers, max 500 characters)

Public servers are visible to everyone:

  • Listed in public server directories
  • Statistics are publicly accessible
  • Can receive reviews from users
  • Appear in search results

Private servers are only visible to you:

  • Not listed publicly
  • Statistics require authentication
  • Cannot receive public reviews
  • Hidden from search results

Featured servers appear prominently in public listings:

  • Higher visibility in search results
  • Featured badge on server pages
  • Priority placement in directories
  • Can add server descriptions regardless of peak player count

Note: Featured status is managed by platform administrators (Admin+). Featured weight is automatically calculated based on donated amount (set by Super Admin).

Access your server’s statistics from the dashboard:

  • Real-time Stats: Current player counts
  • Peak Players: All-time and recent peaks
  • Average Players: Daily, weekly, monthly averages
  • Charts: Visual representations of statistics over time

The plugin automatically collects:

  • Peak player counts (every minute)
  • Average player counts (calculated over intervals)
  • Connection timestamps
  • Server uptime data

Statistics are retained for:

  • Detailed Data: 90 days
  • Aggregated Data: Indefinitely
  • Charts: Generated on-demand from stored data

Transfer server ownership to another user:

  1. Navigate to server settings
  2. Click Transfer Server
  3. Enter the new owner’s user ID
  4. Confirm the transfer
  • Generate new codes at any time
  • Old codes remain valid until used
  • Each server uses one active code
  • Codes can be regenerated if compromised
  • Keep codes private
  • Don’t share codes publicly
  • Regenerate if compromised
  • Use different codes for different servers

Customize your server’s display:

  • Server Domain: Set a custom domain/subdomain to display instead of the IP address (e.g., “mc.example.com”). This is only for display purposes and does not affect the actual server connection.
  • Server Name: Customize the display name for your server (must be unique)
  • Server Description: Add a public description (available for servers with peak player count ≥ 150 or featured servers)

Access server data programmatically:

  • REST API endpoints
  • Authentication tokens
  • Rate limiting
  • Webhook support
  • Use descriptive server names
  • Keep descriptions up to date
  • Regularly review statistics
  • Monitor connection status
  • Ensure stable internet connection
  • Monitor plugin performance
  • Review statistics regularly
  • Optimize collection intervals
  • Protect your setup codes
  • Use strong account passwords
  • Enable two-factor authentication
  • Regularly review access logs
  1. Verify setup code is correct
  2. Check plugin configuration
  3. Review server logs
  4. Test internet connectivity
  1. Verify plugin is running
  2. Check collection interval
  3. Review plugin logs
  4. Test API connectivity
